Our Story

FROM DESIGN TO BAKING

Sibore was founded by Roma Verma, whose journey began with more than 15 years as a fashion designer in the garment industry. Creativity, attention to detail, patience and craftsmanship were at the heart of her work in fashion—and eventually found a new expression through baking.

What began as a personal exploration into better bread gradually became a deep fascination with the art and science of sourdough and natural fermentation. Through extensive research, experimentation and countless trials, Roma developed a deeper understanding of ingredients, fermentation, hydration, proofing and baking.

Today, Sibore brings together creativity and craftsmanship to create authentic sourdough, naturally fermented products, customised cakes, sourdough pizzas and other thoughtfully crafted bakery products.

"From designing with fabric to creating with flour."

Sibore is a reflection of my journey—from one form of craftsmanship to another, guided by curiosity, creativity, patience and a love for authentic flavours.

FOUNDER, SIBORE

With more than 15 years of experience as a fashion designer, Roma Verma brings a deep understanding of creativity, aesthetics, precision and craftsmanship to Sibore. Her journey into baking began with a simple curiosity about creating better, more authentic bread.

Today, that curiosity has grown into a passion for sourdough, natural fermentation and thoughtfully crafted bakery products.

The Thought Behind

SIBORE

Sibore was born from a simple thought — to create bread that is wholesome, authentic and genuinely delicious. A search for better-quality bread led to a deeper exploration of sourdough and natural fermentation.

Months of research, experimentation and countless trials followed. We explored everything from developing a healthy starter to understanding fermentation, hydration, proofing and baking techniques. Every batch brought a new lesson, gradually helping us create sourdough that we could truly be proud of — naturally fermented, wholesome, flavourful and made with care.

The name Sibore was inspired by the Spanish word “Sabor”, meaning taste, flavour and the pleasure of good food. It represents what we believe in: good ingredients, thoughtful processes and, above all, great taste.
